With the continuous progress of globalization and adjustment in the ever-changing landscape in world economy, the Silk Road countries are becoming an important engine for global economic development while facing both historical opportunities and challenges. There exist strong economic complementarity and common interests among these countries, revealing great potential for development and cooperation. The Silk Road countries could achieve the goals of exerting potentials, narrowing development gaps and promoting mutual development through deepened business cooperation. Moreover, mutual trust and benefit will also be strengthened through further cooperation, with new opportunities in advantage complementarity, opening up and development discovered and a new platform of international cooperation created.

Cultural cooperation and economic cooperation are inseparably interconnected. International business management calls for the devotion to human capital and education, especially the training of international business talents. The globalization and regional cooperation in economy have also brought new requirements and challenges for business school education. Business school plays an important and unique part in the modern advanced education system and the economic development in each country, bearing the historical missions of inheriting business civilization, spreading business knowledge and promoting business cooperation. Nevertheless, business education nowadays is facing the challenges of informatization, globalization and specialization. Business schools in the Silk Road countries should undertake these social responsibilities and conform to the great historical trends by strongly developing international business education, promoting the training of multi-language and cross-cultural business talents.

Hence we hereby put forward the initiative on the establishment of the Silk Road Business School League, based on which a platform of business education exchange and cooperation among the Silk Road countries will be built. It is expected that the educational communication and cooperation among the Silk Road countries will be practically deepened, a long-term cooperation mechanism will be built and the economic and social development will be promoted through educational cooperation.

As an important communication platform for business schools from the Silk Road countries, the Silk Road Business School League will be established based on the principles of liberty, equality, mutual benefit and non-profit, which undertakes missions including:
